DATE: Georgian, c.1830

A fine Georgian cameo ring depicting two winged cherubs frolicking on a rock. The shell cameo is masterfully executed; it will have been carved in Italy, with great detail and perfect contrast between the subject and background. The ring itself was made in England, modelled in 22k (head) and 18k gold (band) - it dates from circa 1830. It's a lovely statement piece.
