EMERALDS are one of the four precious gemstones; and have been documented as being used as far back as approximately 4000 B.C. in Babylon. They were worshipped by the Inca, and used often throughout the Ancient Empires by prominent figures like Alexander the Great, Aristotle, and the moguls of India.
